- Put your account details on your literature and business cards – give incentives for people to follow you.
- Create a list of comma separated email addresses from your address books and business databases and then from within twitter send out a follow me invitation. – note you cannot change the format or text of the invitation.
- Send out an independent email to your contacts asking them to like/follow you. Try offering then an incentive to get a higher response rate.
- Get users to re-tweet your posts. Add “Please retweet” to your tweets.
- Use # hash tags. This will allow people searching to find your tweets.
- Include links to interesting stories, news items, websites, recipes, etc. related to your company.
